Welcome to my web site. I have been actively involved in photography since 1967 when I purchased my first 35mm camera, a Nikkormat FTn. During the early 70s I studied fisheries at the U of Idaho and developed an interest in hiking, fishing and nature photography. Today my focus remains capturing the beauty of nature. The Pacific NW gallery reflects the time I spent in Washington, Idaho and Oregon from 1967 to 1999. My wife Laurel and I moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1999. Pictures in the Hawaiian gallery are from our early visits beginning in 1982 to present. I also have a passion for motorcycles and was fortunate to be able to photograph many racing events in the PNW and California. The motorcycle gallery consists primarily of images taken during the 1989 to 1993 World GP championships at Laguna Seca Raceway near Monterey, California. All of the PNW and motorcycle photos were taken with Nikon film cameras. In May of 2003, I purchased my first digital SLR, the Canon 10D. Everything I do now is digital.
